This is my take on the classic iPod cable. Tired of cheaper cables breaking, buzzing and introducing noise and interference? The solution is here. Using Mogami cable, plus Neutrik and Canare connectors, this cable has super low noise and super high durability.
8" breakout length is great for standard applications: going into a pair of preamps or DI boxes. Wider split lengths can be handy for other odd applications.
A detail that is often overlooked on these types of cables is the pinout. Cheaper cables often don't specify the pinout, so you don't know if the signal you're getting is full quality or even in phase. This cable is designed to go from a STEREO UNBALANCED 3.5mm, to dual 1/4" or XLR connections. E.g., going out of a laptop or iPad into a pair of preamps or DI boxes.
Pro tip: if you plug both of the 1/4" connectors of this cable into the "input" and "thru" on a single DI box, it will sum both that left and right channel. This is handy if you have stereo house music, but only a mono channel available on your mixer.
